STUDENT ACADEMY AWARDS

On October 20th, 2022, the Academy of Motion Pictures held its 49th Academy Student Awards. Olivia Peace, a director, and fine artist won Gold for Against Reality. Which was an augmented-reality film, made with AI. We had the pleasure of designing an outfit with Olivia for the ceremony at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles California. They won gold!

The garment was a two-piece, inspired by Black Cowboys, Jimmy Hendrix, Soul Train, and how it would flow and catch light on stage while accepting their award. We wanted to create something that was sophisticated but on the casual/minimal side with the timeframe we had.
